Stephanie Ravett, DMD
Dr. Ravett has enjoyed practicing dentistry for over twenty five years. She has a reputation for being a caring and trusted professional. She loves making her patients feel better about their smiles and dental health.
After graduating from Trinity College in Hartford she moved to Philadelphia to attend the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. Following dental school she completed a general practice residency at Abington Memorial Hospital.
Education has always been an important part of Stephanie’s career. She was an associate professor at The University of Pennsylvania for a number of years. She continues to learn about the latest advanced techniques in Implant Dentistry, Cosmetic Dentistry and Dental restorative materials. She is a member of several local study clubs, as well as The Academy of General Dentistry.
Stephanie has been proud to work at the 6012 Greene Street office since 1992. She and Barry Melman became partners in 2003.
When not practicing dentistry, Stephanie loves to spend time with her family and friends. She is an active person who enjoys hiking, running, tennis, bowling, gardening, reading and playing bridge. Additionally, Stephanie volunteers with several organizations in the community.
Barry Melman, DMD
Dr. Melman graduated from Lower Merion High School and then attended the University of South Florida and Boston University. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1977, and then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Pennsylvania. In 1978, Barry joined Dr. Morty Melman (his father) and Dr. Jim Kippen in private practice, and continued his affiliation with Penn Dental by teaching part-time as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Restorative Dentistry. After many years of teaching, he left the University to focus on full-time patient care. In 2003, Barry established a partnership with Dr. Stephanie Ravett.
Barry has been a member of the Academy of General Dentistry since 1977, and belongs to numerous other dental organizations. These memberships allow him to continue his commitment to continuing education and to enhance his delivery of state-of-the-art patient care.
Barry was voted a Philadelphia Magazine "Top Dentist" in 2012, and again in 2016.
Boris Babiner, DMD
Dr. Babiner received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he further pursued the study of Periodontology and Perioprosthodontics in Penn’s renowned Periodontics department.
He is currently an Associate Clinical Professor at the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University. Dr. Babiner’s specialty training included complete periodontoplastic and dental implant training, as well as complex full mouth rehabilitation. He has achieved the highest level of achievement in Periodontology Board recognition as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Babiner strives to improve traditional techniques, and achieves better clinical outcomes more conservatively and painlessly. His gentle approach even attracts patients who are dentists and their families.
